Dreaming of sleep

Well it seems like it's been a little harder to get to this than I thought! Hopefully I will slowly become a better time manager as miss Ella outgrows her newborn status, but in the meantime I apologize for not getting this updated as much as I planned! Ella is a month old now, getting literally bigger by the day. My guess is at least 10 pounds at this point, but we'll see at our upcoming appointment with the pediatrician. She's still a great baby, not crabby at all, sweet and snuggly as can be. NOT a great sleeper (at least at night !) but we are making some headway in that department... Last night she was up at 0400 and 0730 this am, which is pretty good (bedtime was not till midnight though). I'm patiently waiting for the day I get a whole night of sleep, or even like 6 hours, though I am aware that this is likely many months in the future. Should be great fun when I'm back on call at work and not sleeping those nights either :)
Yesterday we had a little Valentines photo session so we can FINALLY order some announcements to mail out (my poor baby has yet to be announced...). I now have a whole new respect for those who photograph children for a living... while we did get a few cute ones it was quite challenging to get any shot without a pacifier or a squirmy, twisted face... of course we did this close to naptime so maybe this was not ideal planning... but the sleeping shots were much easier! Nonetheless we did accomplish our task and those who read this can finally excpect a card in the mail in the upcoming weeks.
Well, I would like to continue on, but it seems that feeding and diapering duty are once again beckoning my name... hopefully I can now update a bit more regularly, but we'll see!
